Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using CVs Analyzer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CVs Analyzer analyzes your CV against a job description and provides an ATS score showing your true job match. This core ATS analysis is the definitive measure of your qualification alignment.

Optionally, you can request a CV Rewrite to enhance the presentation of your matched skills—reordering and reframing existing qualifications for better ATS readability. The CV Rewrite is a presentation enhancement only and does not improve your ATS score.

3. Analysis Methods

We offer two methods for ATS analysis:

• Quick Check (Free): Fast keyword extraction using pattern matching. Results are instant and no tokens are required. No AI processing or Anthropic API access.
• AI Analysis (1 Token): Deeper semantic analysis using Anthropic's Claude API. Provides more nuanced keyword matching and ATS scoring. See our Privacy Policy Section 4 for details on AI processing and consent requirements.

You choose your preferred method when submitting a job. CV Rewrite (if requested) uses the same AI method as AI Analysis and costs 1 token.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to share any documents you upload.

5. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Token Economy

The Service operates on a token-based system:

• Quick Check (Free): No tokens required.
• AI Analysis: Costs 1 token per job submission.
• CV Rewrite: Costs 1 token per request.
• Tokens are reserved at the time of job submission.
• Tokens are only refunded if the AI provider returns an insufficient-credits error. All other failures (including AI errors) consume the reserved tokens.
• Tokens have no cash value and are non-transferable except via admin-issued gift codes.

7. Payments and Refunds

Payments for tokens are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. We do not process refunds directly on our site. If you need to request a refund for a payment:

• Contact Lemon Squeezy directly through their support system (you will receive their contact information in your payment confirmation email).
• Provide your order details and reason for the refund request.
• Lemon Squeezy will evaluate your request according to their refund policy.

Once a refund is issued by Lemon Squeezy and processed, the corresponding tokens may be adjusted or removed from your account at our discretion. Token purchases are final and non-refundable once applied to your account, except as authorized by the payment processor.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not own or are not authorised to share.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent security measures, or interfere with the Service.
• Abuse the support system or submit knowingly false inquiries.

9. Your Content

You retain ownership of all CV and job description content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process that content solely to deliver the Service to you. We do not use your content for any purpose beyond service delivery.

10. AI Outputs

The tailored CVs and analysis results produced by the Service are AI-generated and provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding their accuracy, completeness, or suitability. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before use.

Important: Rewritten CVs are AI-generated enhancements of your existing skills' presentation. They do not add skills you don't possess, do not change your experience history, and do not improve your ATS score. Your ATS score is determined solely by your actual qualifications matching the job requirements and is not affected by CV rewriting. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Data Retention

Uploaded CV and job description text is automatically deleted after your configured retention period (default: 1 hour after job completion). However, your ATS scores, matched/missing keywords, rewritten CV data (in JSON format), and PDF files are retained in your account indefinitely unless you manually delete individual jobs or your entire account.

You can delete any job from your dashboard at any time, which permanently removes all associated ATS scores, keywords, rewritten CV data, and PDF files. This action cannot be undone. You can also delete your entire account from Account settings, which erases all personal data, job history, and analysis results.

12. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control, without prior notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CVs Analyzer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any decisions made based on AI-generated outputs.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes.

15. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Account settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data and job history is permanently erased. We may also terminate your account for breach of these Terms.
